National Children’s Orchestra

Emma and Amy from Upper II have been accepted onto the National Children’s Orchestra Projects Programme.  The programme over the year involves weekend orchestral activities where they will play with other musicians of mixed ages in London.  Each weekend has a musical theme and they will learn a repertoire of well known music as well as new commissions.  They will also have the opportunity to play with guest artists which in the past have included the saxophonist, Jess Gillam.

The Artistic and Educational Director of the NCO says that ‘the Project weekends are a gateway to a lifelong love of music-making.’  We wish Amy and Emma all the best in this exciting venture.
