Beyond the Streets- Art Scholars Saatchi Trip

on

On 20 February, we went to the Saatchi Museum which was specifically focused upon street art. There was a range of artworks, with a variety of styles and interpretations. I really enjoyed the trip as we were able to accumulate inspiration as well as a chance to create our own designs. I personally love this form of art as it is capable of expressing a lot as well as being visually pleasing. The most memorable parts were the illusions created by large objects and the connections to music. Additionally, the messages conveyed through the artwork were very influential. Within the workshop we produced our own designs for a single word in a graffiti style. I really enjoyed experimenting with colours and text fonts as well as creating images from a letter. Overall, this trip was motivating as it encouraged me to experiment with street art more often.
