Inspired by the John Burningham story entitled, The Shopping Basket, Reception wrote a shopping list of ingredients to make a healthy sandwich.

Armed with the list they had written the previous day, the children followed the route plotted on a map to get to our local Tesco Express. Once inside the supermarket they took turns to find the listed items around the shop, pop them in the basket, tick them off and pay for them at the check out.

On our return to school the girls followed instructions to make a tasty sandwich which they enjoyed for afternoon snack.
