I watch them from above as
They menacingly prowl
Their claws scratching against the floor 
As they release a rumbling growl
Every move, paralysing me more.

Clever, nimble and astute,
They’re all tall, and rather handsome brutes
With their silky fur
And sharpened jaws
They exude the confidence of no amateur

And with their honed guarding skills
Even the tiniest sound they hear
And their reaction gives you chills
And instills a daunting lifelong fear

Loyal, powerful, and protective
The partner of a private detective
Also loyal, loving and devoted
100% committed to their motive
