On Wednesday 8 November, our Lower V Biology class created a DNA model to be judged by Dr Spencer.
We used pipe cleaners and plasticine as the sugar phosphate backbone, the gummy sweets as the four types of bases found in the DNA, adenine (A), cytosine (C), guanine (G), and thymine (T). Finally, each group twisted their structures and added a key to complete.
This lesson was enjoyable and fascinating (especially eating the prizes). Thank you Dr Spencer!
