This week’s Lower III assembly was a celebration of the UN Day of the Girl and the students of the Abbey Junior School.

Students have been developing their research and note-taking skills as part of their ‘Where We Are In Place and Time’ Unit of Inquiry, and were excited to tell others about girls who have made a difference in the world such as Ruby Bridges, Margaret E.Knight and Skye Brown to name a few.

They also showcased their fun signature handshakes to the melody of the ultimate Girl Power song from the 80s!
