Lower III Production

on

This week the Junior School has been transformed to resemble the West End with lights, colour and the sounds of top-tapping tunes echoing throughout the halls as our Lower III production, ‘A Night at the Musicals!’ burst onto the stage.

Our students brought old favourites like ‘Feed the Birds’ and ‘Corner of the Sky’ to life with their expressive performances as well as newer songs, ‘Revolting Children’ from Matilda and ‘Six’ from the musical of the same name about the lives of the wives of Henry VIII, with enthusiasm.

It has been a real joy to see Lower III blossom as performers, taking on the challenge of learning their lyrics, dances and three-part harmonies. Several of the ensemble dances were also choreographed by the Lower III lunch time dance club, who performed them with sensitivity and flair.

The students were thrilled to be performing with a real, live band, a fabulous set, and stage lighting to boot! The energy across all the performances was electric and ‘A Night at the Musicals’ will be a long lasting memory for staff and students alike.
