Woodley Festival

on

On 16 March, I had the opportunity to perform a piano piece in the Woodley Festival.

I played in a sonatina section and, as the only requirement was to play a sonatina, there were a variety of age groups and grades. It was extremely interesting to hear different pieces of music, especially since the majority of students there were grade 8 or above.

I ended up performing first, which meant that I was able to relax afterwards and hear everyone else perform. This piece was one of my grade 6 pieces that I played for my exam last November so I’ve had a lot of time to master it. I particularly liked playing around with the different dynamics and tempos.
