On Tuesday, Lower VI students enjoyed a trip to the UCAS Discovery Exhibition in Farnborough.
The event allowed students to explore various Higher Education options all in one place. They chatted to universities and colleges about their courses and ‘uni life’, spoke to employers and apprenticeship providers about what an apprenticeship is like and received support about their options from UCAS experts. Along the way, they of course enjoyed collecting as many freebies as they could from the stands!
Lower VI were energised by the trip and found it insightful to see the wide range of opportunities available. The experience has kickstarted their Higher Education plans and fuelled their excitement as they explored what the future has in store. We look forward to following this event up later this term at our UCAS Day with a guest speaker from Cardiff University and our parent and student Higher Education Evening with a guest speaker from the University of Southampton.
