Speed Cubing Trip

on

Attending the Wiltshire Spring speed cubing competition, we were excited to witness some of the most skilled cubers in action. Competitors included national and international record holders in a variety of different twisty puzzles. The atmosphere was very relaxed, tension grew as we watched competitors from all around the UK, and from a variety of ages, showcasing their talents and speed in solving the puzzles. We watched various rounds such as the 3x3x3, pyraminx and 4x4x4 solves, but the highlight of the day was certainly the 3x3x3 blindfolded solves. The level of concentration and memory skills required to complete this challenge was mesmerising, and it left us in awe of the competitors’ abilities.

The competitors were required to memorise the arrangement of the scrambled cubes while blindfolded and then solve the cube from memory. It was amazing to see the competitors solve the cube with precision and speed, all while being unable to see. We were captivated by the level of concentration and skill required to accomplish this feat.

As spectators, we were also impressed by the cubers’ ability to solve the cubes in mere seconds, in some cases less than 7 seconds! The atmosphere was tense as the competitors raced against the clock, as they tackled each challenge with incredible speed and dexterity. It was inspiring to watch them push the limits of their abilities.

The speed cubing competition was an unforgettable experience for us. The 3x3x3 blindfolded solves were the highlight of the day, and we were mesmerised by the incredible skill and concentration required to accomplish this feat. We left the event feeling inspired and motivated by the cubers’ dedication and excellence, and we look forward to attending more events in the future.
