Reading Town Championships

on

The Junior (Lower IV and Upper IV) and Inter (Lower V) teams competed last week at the Reading Town Championships.

They had a superb day achieving 17 medals out of a possible 20! This meant that The Abbey placed 1st in both age groups by quite a margin over all the other schools. From these excellent performances, 19 pupils and 4 reserves have qualified to represent Reading at the Berkshire Schools Track and Field Championships in June. This is the biggest individual competition the athletes will take part in this season and a chance to compete against the best in the county, gain top places and a chance for county champion!

Good luck to all in this competition and well done to everyone who performed so excellently at the town championships!
