Me2Club

On Wednesday during Skills 4 Life, our Lower VI students were visited by Charlotte Randall, from the charity Me2Club, to speak to them about their volunteering opportunities.

Charlotte was joined by one of our wonderful Upper VI students, Rose, who has been a volunteer for the past year. Charlotte shared heartwarming stories and inspiring examples of how even small acts of kindness can make a big difference in the lives of others.

The Me2 Club is an inclusion charity for children and young people aged 5-19 with additional needs and disabilities in the Wokingham and Reading Boroughs. Their purpose is to tackle the social isolation and loneliness experienced by children not being able to access mainstream leisure activities by recruiting and training volunteers to ‘buddy’ 1:1 with them so they can join in and have fun.
With the Me2Club’s help, children can access activities including sports clubs, uniformed groups and drama classes, giving them a chance to build independence and vital life and social skills.
