Junior School Diversity Week

on

We are so lucky to have such a wonderfully diverse community at The Abbey Junior School with our community speaking over 50 languages!

From 5-9 June, the Junior School hosted a wonderful Diversity Week where students were able to partake in a range of activities, across different age groups, languages and cultures. Thank you to our EDI Champions and EDI Committee for all of their hard work in making the week such a success.

Some of the activities included: daily dance workshops prepared by teachers and students, parents coming in to read stories from different cultures or in different languages, an international food cafe, EDI assemblies, show and tell from each student about their culture, religion or something about who they are, dressing up in cultural attire or something that represents them and many other activities done within the classroom.
