For one of our last Biology lessons we had fun dressing up as different animal phyla and classes to learn more about classification. It was a great chance to have some fun with our classmates towards the end of our course and learn more about a tricky part of our course.

Each person was given the name of a phylum or class a couple of weeks before the lesson, so we had time to prepare a costume and familiarise ourselves with the features. As well as the fun of seeing everyone’s creative efforts, we also enjoyed quizzing each other about our animal’s features. This was a brilliant learning experience and a great way to visualise the differences between the phyla. To top it all off, the cake made by Dr Spencer and Mrs Buck was absolutely delicious!
