Interludes Recital

on

The audience at the Interludes Recital enjoyed pieces by a variety of instrumentalists and one vocalist this week – a fitting way to end the half term.  The recital opened with a guitar duet performed by Tanmayi and Joshika as part of their GCSE coursework.  Luna and Yosola then followed on clarinet and piano respectively and Aadhira sang a beautiful rendition of Wayfaring Stranger after this.  Amelia, our wonderful MC for the recital, then played the beautiful Morceau de Concours by Faure, providing the audience with some background to the piece and Linda concluded the performances with two pieces by William Walton; both movements were in great contrast with each other, one very atmospheric and serene and the other a mad dash to the end!  We are hoping that more talented students will share their music with us after the half-term break and that the appreciative and supportive audience will return to join us!
