Whilst many of her choir friends were singing at Woodley Festival, Emma (UI) was in London with other musicians for the National Children’s Orchestra Project Programme.
The NCO has a number of orchestras that meet yearly for weekly residentials as well as Project programmes for non-residential weekends throughout the year.
Emma thoroughly enjoyed her weekend in London meeting like minded musicians (aged 8 -14) and enjoyed playing music by Strauss and Florence Price as well as being lucky enough to play music specially written for the NCO by Ryan Linham – NCO Mambo, NCO Stomp and Windrush. The weekend finished with a special performance for parents and Emma is looking forward to the next one in June.
