IB Study Skills Seminars

on

On Tuesday the Lower VI and Upper VI IB Diploma students were treated to some valuable study skills seminars with Francis, a recent IB Diploma graduate and a representative of ‘Lanterna Education’, an IB specialist company which was actually started as a CAS project by a group of IB students internationally.

The Lower VI students discussed a wide variety of organisational and revision tools to help them manage their time, as well as the importance of a work-life balance and asking for help when needed. An insight into the Extended Essay process was also valuable, including tips on choosing your topic and managing the process.

For Upper VI IB students, having completed their Extended Essays, their focus was on drawing all their subject knowledge together and discovering a number of practical ways to enhance their revision techniques in the lead up to exams.

It was a great opportunity to hear from an IB student who had been through the diploma programme themselves, and who was able to reflect upon their own experiences by sharing tips and tricks they would employ if they had their time again.
