Girls Human Rights Leadership Summit

on

On Wednesday, seven Abbey students had the opportunity to go to an incredible Leadership Summit, hosted by Hogan Lovells in London and part of the Girls’ Human Rights Hub Festival.

The day consisted of meeting and hearing talks by revolutionary women as well as learning labs where we learnt more about the skills necessary to becoming a female leader and, of course, refreshments!

I really believe that all of us on the trip have developed our abilities in public speaking and negotiation thanks to this event. I also think that it was really inspiring to meet Lady Hale, the first female president of the Supreme Court of the UK! Overall, it was a fabulous experience and we very are grateful for it.
