On Tuesday, we had the pleasure of attending the ESU public speaking competition for Round 2 in Oxford. It was a very rewarding experience, and really allowed us to test our debating skills and hear from other people our age!

Both speakers – Zara and Theresa – delivered their speeches passionately, tackling difficult questions and earning great applause from the audience.

The questioners, Shefali and Grace, effectively and precisely probed different areas of the speeches that they were assigned and managed to maintain a sense of curiosity and friendly competition!

And finally, the chairs, Kashvi and Amy, professionally hosted and kept charge of their allocated speakers and questioners with a hospitable and enthusiastic attitude.

Overall, we all had a truly brilliant time and look forward to future opportunities to partake in public speaking and debating. Thank you Ms Quant for this excellent opportunity!
