On Thursday 17 November, Junior School students came in wearing their pyjamas. You could be forgiven for thinking that they all woke up too late to get dressed for school – instead they were raising money for Children in Need.
As an Abbey community we like to help those close to us and this year we focused on one charity in particular, JDRF UK (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation). Neve in Upper II has been raising money for her sister Sadie who has been diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. We decided to support her efforts and our money for Children in Need will be added to her contribution. The JDRF suggests holding a Type Onesie day to raise money and awareness for World Diabetes Day which happens this month so it was a perfect opportunity for our students and staff to wear either their pyjamas or a cosy onesie.
