On Thursday 10 March, ten Upper III students travelled to Ascot to take part in the Under 12 County Championships.

In the morning groups the team finished top of their group with two wins (2-0 against Holyport and 1-0 against Highdown) and a draw (1-1 draw against Licensed Victuallers) to advance to the Cup competition in the afternoon.

In the afternoon groups, the team started with a fantastic 5-0 victory against Holme Grange to secure a place in the semi-finals.  A narrow 0-1 defeat to Newlands meant that the team finished second in the group.

Licensed Victuallers awaited the team in the knock-out stage and another 1-1 draw against this team took the game to penalties.  Unfortunately, the team failed to convert as many as our opponents and so did not make the final.

The team completed a 1-0 win against Marist to finish third overall and secure the bronze medals.

A great performance by all concerned.
