A French celebration at Reception

on

The children in Reception learned about the traditional French celebration called ‘La Fete Des Rois’. This celebrates the Epiphany, the time when The Three Kings met Baby Jesus.

The children were able to celebrate ‘La Fete Des Rois’ by wearing crowns that they had made and trying the French Epiphany cake made with apples, sugar and pastry. Inside the cake were some ‘feves’ (charms) that the children could find. Those who find the charm would be the ‘king’ or ‘queen’ for the day!
