Upper Prep Art Lesson

on

On Wednesday, Upper Prep ventured outside as part of their Art lesson.

Using sketching pencils and their observation skills, the students chose interesting autumnal plants to draw! All of the Upper Prep students took their time to ensure their sketches were as true to life as possible, using cross hatching and mark making to add detail and shading.

Lots of the students made connections to their Science learning, all about the seasons, and noticed how the leaves were changing colour picking up various conkers and acorns.

Upper Prep are so excited to continue this theme of autumn wildlife during our trip to Kew Gardens on Friday and can’t wait to observe new and exciting seasonal changes in their fantastic gardens!
