The Lecture Theatre was alive with the sounds of the second Piano Recital of the year on Wednesday evening. 

Fifteen students shared their pianistic talents with an intimate audience, performing pieces from many different genres of music, including blues, ragtime and classical items.  Two groups of girls also ably demonstrated that the piano need not be a solitary instrument by conveying the joy of playing duets and trios – with some improvisation even added to their performances. 

Oya led the evening beautifully as MC and the recital culminated in a surprise six-hand performance by staff.  Watch this space for the next instalment!
