Manxi from Lower III, has spent the last two weekends performing at Woodley Festival. The young musician walked away with five gold medals across multiple classes.

This included first place in the 11 and Under String Solo Class, the grade 6-7 instrumental solo class and grade 4 piano class.

But Manxi didn’t stop there. Joining forces with her friend Meiyu, another Lower III student, the duo captured gold in the Duet class with their seamless collaboration. In the subsequent under-16 Ensemble competition, Manxi united with two other friends to take home the first-place medal, demonstrating her ability both as a soloist and ensemble player. A fantastic festival for Manxi. Well done.

Woodley Festival String Solo
Zuleyha participated in the Woodley Festival String Solo category and played a Concertino. She was awarded a bronze medal for her performance this year. Additionally, she received excellent compliments from the adjudicator for her solo performance in the Crescendo group in the Ensemble category, and the group was awarded a gold medal.

My Woodley Festival: Margaret, Lower III
Over the weekend, I participated in the Woodley Festival of Music and Arts, my last entry as a primary school student. The atmosphere was very friendly yet quite competitive in many different ways. I competed with students who were the same level as me in piano and was delighted to receive silver.

Gaining a fun and enjoyable experience, Woodley Festival lets people celebrate all their hard work and achievements in every way possible, whether that’s instrumental or choral, drama and vocals, or even music, it is a lively competition where everyone learns something new. I enjoyed all of it and highly recommend it to anyone who seems interested.
