For the last day of term, we have saved the best news till last. The Abbey are National Champions!

On Thursday 14 March the U15A netball team travelled to Loughborough University @lborouniversity to compete in the final 4 of the National Sisters n Sport Competition.

The team played their semi-final against Ilkley Grammar School and came away with a 20-12 win, securing us a place in the final later in the afternoon against Gordon’s School.

The final started off going goal for goal but we pulled away going into the third quarter and increased our lead. We came away with a 21-8 win meaning they became national champions. What an extraordinary achievement!

During the awards ceremony Becca was awarded with a player of the match trophy by Nat Panagarry (England Rose and Loughborough Lightning player) and the whole team was ecstatic with the result of the day!
