U16 Hockey

on

A combination of Year 11s and Year 10s travelled to Bradfield College to compete in the Under 16 Berkshire Hockey County Championships. They produced a fantastic performance to come away as winners of the tournament and qualify for the South Central competition in November.

The early stages consisted of four pool games to determine qualifiers for the cup competition. With four wins from their four games, the team comfortably qualified for the knock-out stage, where they played The Marist (runners-up in the other pool). A solid performance ensured a tight 1-0 victory qualification for the regional competition in November, as well as the tournament final. In the final we met our old friends from Downe House. We changed our formation and adjusted our tactics, to adjust to their style of play and achieved another win and collect the trophy.

Results:

LVS Ascot 1-0

Crosfields 3-1

Holme Grange 2-0

The Downs 1-0

The Marist (semi-final) 1-0

Downe House (final) 1-0
