The Abbey ventured to Sherfield School to play two games of softball Cricket. Both teams elected to bat first with the U12’s scoring 237 off their 10 overs with the pick of the batters being Eshitha and Anayah for their excellent shot selections and running between the wickets. 

The U13’s made a score of 241 off their 10 overs with Aashvi and Poppy scoring well with some well timed shots. 

The Abbey started well with their bowling attack and limited Sherfield School with excellent fielding and bowling. The pick of the bowlers for the U12’s were Saanvi and Eshitha who both bowled wicket maidens! The U13’s as a squad all bowled well and created pressure by bowling at the stumps every ball. This enabled them to take plenty of wickets and restrict their run rate. Amelia was awarded bowler of the game by Sherfield School. The U13’s play next on Wednesday 7th June against Pangbourne.
