Tycoon Enterprise is a national enterprise competition for ages 6-18. We have been partaking in the KS5 competition throughout the term.

This year we have four businesses in the Sixth Form: The G.O.A.T Company who have created a card game, Resinate who make resin jewellery, In the Bag who make tote bags from recycled denim jeans and Whisked who operates bake sales.

At the G.O.A.T Company, first we had to come up with a business venture that we believed had a purpose and audience to serve. After this, we wrote our business plan requesting a loan from the Peter Jones Foundation. To do this we all took a role and worked on that part of the plan. I am the marketing manager so I overlooked market research and promotion ideas, our finance and sales managers handled finding a supplier and calculating costs and our operations manager designed a logo and came up with our story and slogan.

Then we moved to production. Our operations manager, Amelia, drew all of our many designs which are attached below. We then formatted our cards and sent them off to printing while also sorting out our boxes and instructions.

Trading started a few weeks ago and all teams have made a great revenue and some have even started to profit!

Our business is the G.O.A.T Game which is a fun and whimsical card game that incorporates aspects of our favourite card games all into one. We will be selling at school on Tuesday and Wednesday lunchtimes outside the dining room so bring along cash or a card so you can enjoy our game.
