Spanish Carnival projects – El Carnaval

on

In Spanish we looked at Carnivals across the Spanish speaking countries. Our task was to create a poster displaying aspects of the carnival, we could choose which aspects we put on our poster. Some girls worked in small groups, others worked on their own. It was a great chance to look at a research task creatively.

I researched the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Carnaval in a group of three. It allowed me dedicated time to develop my teamwork, collaboration and communication skills whilst researching about other cultures, something I find very interesting. We looked at many different aspects of the carnival including the events, language, food and cultural clothing. Overall this was a great project that everyone enjoyed.

I really enjoyed learning and creating the carnival poster. And it was really great learning about the music and what costumes they wear during the carnival. As well as also learning about the competition’s they host during the carnival.
