This term, our Artists-in-Residence, Emily Kelly and Kristin Rawcliffe, have been running a weekly lunchtime crafts club.
Lower school students have enjoyed the opportunity to come along, relax and create using a range of art-making techniques. They have made beautiful papers using marbling, watercolour, and wax resist, exploring pattern and colour. They then used these papers to collage onto bird shapes that they drew and cut out, embellishing them with stamping and drawing.
I’m sure you’ll agree that they have produced a beautiful array of Christmas birds, including robins, swans, pheasants and even a dragon!
