Is Christmas just for Christians?

We are happy to announce that the winner of our PAT Post competition for last term is Chloe. Congratulations, Chloe! We would also like to give an honourable mention to Kimberly and Lucy, who were our runners up.

Chloe responded in fewer than 100 words to the question, ‘Is Christmas just for Christians?’ and here is what she had to say:

‘Christmas is not just a single day on the calendar; it radiates an infinite message. Although the cultural and religious aspects sculpted the traditions of the holiday, its spirit embodies the timeless virtues pertinent globally. The acts of love, generosity and compassion extend far beyond this period – its essences resonate in everyday acts. It’s not the giving of gifts that makes this day salient, but the stimulation of compassion, lasting connections and uniting humanity. This inspires continuous acts of giving, understanding and unity throughout the year. Thus, Christmas is not just for Christians; it’s a guiding principle urging us to embrace its values daily.’
