Netball Progress

on

Livia in Lower III was selected as the captain of the Woodley U11 A team at the SAS netball tournament last week, and her team won the bronze medal.

She also got the opportunity to meet her role model Sophie Drakeford – Lewis (England Roses player and an Abbey Alumnae) in her club and they discussed the routine Livia should follow to be a professional netballer. Sophie’s tips are very important as they both play Goal Attack.

Mitali, also in Lower III, has been with the Woodley netball team for over a year now. She has been selected to play for the Under 11 Blue squad this year. She plays well in any position but her strength lies as a goal shooter, a position she has maintained consistently.

Her team also participated in the SAS netball club tournament during the summer holidays at Stanborough school in Hertfordshire, where they won the third place.

Like Livia, she also had the opportunity to meet an Abbey alumnae, Sophie Drakeford – Lewis from the Vitality Roses squad, who was really inspiring.
