On Wednesday this week, the winners of the National Maths Quiz team selection from Upper II and Lower III took part in The Abbey School’s first ever entry to the event. They competed remotely in Heat 1 and the competition was tough – with challenging questions that tested their mathematical ability within very tight timings. 

The teams’ collaboration, resilience and thinking skills shone through and we are pleased to announce that Team 2 scored in the top 20 and made it through to Heat 2 automatically, which will take place on 18 May. Team 1 finished in the top 40 against hundreds of schools across the UK, and will find out if they go through to the next round soon.
