Music Recital

on

On Friday lunchtime I gave a recital to practice for my ARSM vocal performance diploma which is in two weeks time. I have been singing for many years, but have had lessons in school for the past 3 years. After completing my Grade 8, the diploma was a new challenge that I was excited to undertake. For the concert I sung a varied programme with a mix of styles, periods and languages, including Puccini’s ‘O Mio Babbino Caro’ and Lloyd Webber’s ‘Love Never Dies’. In total I sang 9 songs, lasting 30 minutes.

Everyone said they had a good time and it was helpful for me to perform my programme to such a receptive audience. Thank you to Mr Westley for accompanying me now and in the exam.
