Magnolia Tea & Tours

Almost 100 alumnae joined the annual Magnolia Afternoon Tea & Tours at the end of March. Those attending spanned 70 years of The Abbey, back to leavers of 1951 and 1952. The afternoon was full of joy, laughter and stories, as visitors enjoyed looking around old haunts and exploring the new facilities.

After tours of the school, led by our Head Girls, alumnae prefects and some Sixth Form and Lower V students, everyone came back together for an afternoon cream tea with special celebrations for our 50, 20 and 10-year anniversary leavers from the classes of 1974, 2004 and 2014.

“An excellent event. Great to catch up with old friends and visit the school.  A memory lane as well as seeing fantastic new developments.”

“Thank you for all that you did to make yesterday such a successful event! I think what struck us most were the amazing changes to the facilities, compared to back in the 60s! The Sixth Form areas are just amazing!”
