Last week, Lower IV students participated in a lively and proactive debate on Climate Change by participating in a Model United Nations session, focusing on the debate on the urgent need to ban fossil fuels.

With fervent determination and comprehensive research, students assumed the roles of various countries from China to the USA and Costa Rica to Poland, engaging in spirited debates and negotiations to propose effective measures combating the climate crisis. Amidst the simulated UN environment, they articulated compelling arguments, considering  renewable energy alternatives and  emphasising the impacts of fossil fuels on the planet’s ecosystems whilst considering various national interests.

Throughout the session, students demonstrated exemplary diplomacy, critical thinking, and teamwork, embodying the ethos of responsible global citizenship. Their commitment to finding viable solutions underscored their deep understanding of the nature of the situation and commitment to international midness.
