The Lower I and Upper I Sports Day was held on Monday 12 June at The Abbey Senior School astroturf. The day began with an opening ceremony, during which the participants, teachers, and parents gathered to celebrate the spirit of sportsmanship. The event comprised a series of individual and team-based activities, providing a diverse range of sporting opportunities for all students.

The sprint races provided an opportunity for students to showcase their speed and coordination, with ribbons awarded to the top three finishers in each race.

The team races encouraged teamwork and agility among students where they had to pass the baton smoothly to complete the race.

The obstacle course challenged students’ agility, balance, and problem-solving skills. They manoeuvred through a series of obstacles, including hurdles and hoops and had to jump in the sack and balance an egg on a spoon. The participants showcased determination and resilience, earning ribbons for their accomplishments.
