Lego League

on

On Wednesday 24 January, I took a group of seven students to Oxford Brookes University to take part in the regional Lego League competition.

The Lego League is an annual competition that pits teams against each other to build a robot out of Lego and program it to be able to perform various challenges, also made of Lego.

There were many teams in attendance. We saw some familiar faces from other schools, competed with our robot, saw the amazing robots that some of the teams came up with, and learned about the amazing engineering opportunities for girls at university.

In the face of strong competition, we didn’t win a trophy this year, but we took from the event something far more important: Joy.
