I performed Shenandoah (a traditional American folk song) at The Abbey Interludes Recital which I found to be a delightful experience. It was wonderful to be able to practise singing this traditional American folk song in front of a small audience which I felt was both enjoyable and useful for future events and exams.
The Abbey Interludes is a great opportunity for all of us to share our passion for music and practise our performance skills. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to other people perform as well!
We started the recital with Leah who sang “It means Beautiful” followed by Harshini on the oboe who performed “Introduzione from the Concerto for Oboe and Strings” by Cimarosa. After that, Anya played an original composition which she had written called “Waltz of the Piano Man” and to conclude this week’s recital, Linda performed the “First movement – Allegro” from a violin concerto by J.S. Bach.
It was so nice to hear everyone’s pieces and I am already looking forward to next time!By
