The first hockey games of the new term saw the focus turn to the Lower School teams with a series of games against Sir William Borlase’s Grammar School.  First up it was the Under 13s played with the A team overcoming Borlase Bs 7-1, with goals from Mariam (2), Lily, Emily and Emilia (3) whilst the B team suffered a narrow loss to Borlase Cs 3-4, with our goals coming from Amber(2), and Eshita.  MVPs for the A team was Lily and Emily, with Annabel and Amber getting the honours for the B team.

Both teams will take part in the Berkshire Schools Championships on 22 February.

Borlase hosted the Under 12s at Marlow Hockey Club.  This cohort have not had many games due to cancellations, but showed themselves ready in these fixtures. The A team came back from 0-2 down to draw 3-3 with Borlase B (goals from Nimechi (2) and Yukki), whilst the B team completed a 7-4 victory over Borlase C, having been 3-0 up at half time, the opposition pulled things back to 4-4, before the team pushed forward to complete the win with goals from Jinxin (4), Bella (2) and Jiya.  MVP awards went to Valentina (A team) and Bella (B team).
