History of Ramadan

on

Upper II and Lower III had an amazing opportunity to learn about the history of Ramadan and its significance to the Islamic community here in Reading and the Islamic communities around the world.

Students considered the Five Pillars of Islam, learned about the meaning behind fasting and the importance of community, empathy and generosity during this special celebration.

It was great to see students asking thoughtful questions as well as to hear pupils sharing their own experiences. Ramadan Mubarak to all of our families who celebrate.
