Gwyn Arch Young Voices Competition

on

On Saturday, the Somerleaze Singers performed alongside the Reading Male Voice Choir in the first Winners Concert of the Gwyn Arch Young Voices Competition.  Gwyn Arch was the founder of RMVC and the competition was started last year in his memory.  The choir performed four items by themselves as well as enjoying the opportunity to listen to the Male Voice Choir Sing and the three competition winners perform solos.  As well as some superb vocal performances, the concert also included a fabulous performance of Danse Español on the violin by Elena, one of the Senior School Music Scholars. Somerleaze Singers enjoyed joining with all the vocal performers to sing Rhythm of Life as a finale.  It was a really hot evening, yet the choir kept their cool and sang beautifully.
