Inspired by astronaut Helen Sharman, the Reception children explored, experimented and engaged in collaborative, imaginative play in the Discovery Zone – Space. They wrote their names in ‘space dust’, dressed up as astronauts to experience life in a rocket and space station. In the multisensory room the children made ‘star cookies’ and ‘silly, space soup’, some of them even used devices to record their findings.
