Detective Zone

On Saturday 21 January, The Abbey Junior School was officially declared a crime scene! Reports of a jewel thief, a baffling case for Sherlock Holmes, and a fingerprint forensic lab, were just some of the activities in ‘The Detective Zone’ – a morning of crime-busting fun for all the family.

The aim of the morning was to solve as many cases as possible, and become a fully fledged Abbey Detective. Our super sleuths, armed with case files, stalked the corridors of the Abbey Junior School, intent on solving a range of crimes and mysteries that would baffle even the greatest of detective.

Over 100 families joined in the fun, and spent the morning immersed in piecing together the clues within each room. Whether it was 221b Baker Street and helping Sherlock solve his most testing case to date, working out who stole the Queen of Hearts’ Jam Tarts, or playing The Abbey Cluedo game, families proved their detective credentials in every challenge.

It was a wonderful morning enjoyed by all. Huge thanks to our creative and energetic staff who created such an engaging community event!
