Curiosity Week

on

Before half-term was filled with excitement, fun and of course, curiosity.

I went to many mini lectures and events that were happening around school during that time. I also did a mini lecture about the Evolution of Gender Equality. During the process of writing my talk, I encouraged myself to think at a greater level and share my thoughts with the rest of the school. On top of my lecture, members of staff and scholars talked to us about topics that fascinated them, and by the end of the week, I was intrigued by their topics as well!

I distinctly remember Dr Maclennon talking about salmon and during her talk, I realised that there were so many things to discover about the world, but the first step was to be curious about it.

Curiosity Week was also about finding something that you were curious about and doing research on it. As a scholar who did a mini lecture said ‘You should never stop feeding your curiosity.’ This was one of the many things I learnt during this week and I cannot wait to feed my curiosity in the weeks and years to come!
