Tranthini from Upper V and Anushka from Upper IV represented Berkshire in the Inter County tournament held between 4-7 April at David Ross Sports Village, University of Nottingham.
30 counties participated in this tournament, and over four intense days they faced competitors from around the country including their formidable rivals, from Nottingham, who secured second place last year. However they gained a well-deserved victory over them, with a score of 8-2, and it proved crucial in securing a place in the top four.
On the final day, top 4 counties played against each other to decide medal positions. Their initial loss against Leinster, 7-3, fueled further determination, leading to wins against Kent and Yorkshire. Every match was hard-fought, and the team’s resilience ultimately secured success.
It is a huge accomplishment for Berkshire to place second in the tournament – the first time since 2015. The team showcased remarkable dedication, teamwork and passion for the sport and tournament. Well done Tranthini and Anushka.
