Art Scholars Tea Party

on

On Friday 3 November, the Art department hosted the annual scholars tea party for all of us to come together and introduce new members. It was a good opportunity to get to know each other. The afternoon began with discussions (over sandwiches and scones!) about our plans for this year, including celebrations of the creative industries, a brand new house art event and future art trips.

We were then given a task… to work as teams to dress up staff members as creatures from under the sea! Each group worked together to create a fabulous costume out of a range of recycled materials, including tinfoil, newspaper and props. This was such a fun activity as it helped the scholars build friendships throughout all year groups and create hilarious memories.

We wish to thank our staff participants for being good sports during the event. As you can see they looked truly fabulous! Equally, a massive thank you to our wonderful catering team in preparing and helping set up a beautiful sea themed high tea.
