Little Knellies unit of inquiry

on

This half term our Little Knellies have enjoyed an inquiry unit on growing, and have shown a keen interest in plants. They have learnt about the different parts of a plant and have even started to grow their own seed heads.

To learn more about how plants grow Mrs Jones, Head of Junior Science, visited the nursery to help the students set up their own scientific investigations, using celery.

These investigations will help demonstrate how the stem works. The stem is a very important part of the plant as it not only holds it upright but also transports water around the whole plant.

They are very excited to see their results!
