On Wednesday 19 June, nine Abbey athletes took part in the U13 Reading Town Championships. The athletes did a fantastic job across all the disciplines and came 3rd overall. The Abbey had five podium places, with Charlotte and Yuuki securing 3rd place in the 150m sprint and 600m respectively, and April, Jinxin and Nimechi securing 1st place in the 100m, high jump and discus! 

This athletics competition is also a selection event for the U13 Berkshire Schools Track and Field Championships. Athletes who came 1st or 2nd in their event are selected to represent Reading in this competition. Therefore, April, Jinxin and Nimechi have all been selected to represent Reading on Thursday 27 June.
